Overview
This policy explains what personal information HuiTu Technology collects through this website and during client engagements, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.
We collect as little as possible. We do not run advertising, we do not sell data about visitors, and we do not share what you send us with third parties except where it is necessary to deliver the service you asked for.
Information we collect
There are two situations in which we hold personal information about you.
- When you submit the enquiry form: your email address and the contents of your enquiry, including any file you attach.
- When we deliver a project: the contact details of the people we work with, and any correspondence relating to the engagement.
Website analytics and cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not build profiles of visitors. If we use analytics, it is a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only service that does not track individuals across sites, and any such use is disclosed here.
Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to identify individuals.
How we use your information
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only submitted an enquiry.
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To deliver, support and invoice a project you have engaged us for.
- To keep records required for accounting and legal compliance.
- To protect the website against abuse, such as automated form submissions.
Legal basis for processing
Where the GDPR or an equivalent framework applies, we process enquiry data on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, project data on the basis of contract performance, and security logging on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and free of abuse.
Retention
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: deleted within 12 months.
- Project correspondence and deliverables: retained for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and reference.
- Working copies of client data: deleted on request once a project closes, and in any case once they are no longer needed.
- Records required for tax and accounting: retained for the period required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email jinlongc7c@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled systems. Access to client project data is limited to the people working on that project. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the smallest reasonable footprint: the less we hold, the less there is to lose.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes affecting active clients, we notify them directly. Questions about this policy can be sent to jinlongc7c@gmail.com.
